Description

A simple, moist, and delicious French-inspired yogurt cake that uses the yogurt container for easy measuring. This classic treat has a tender crumb and subtle sweetness, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 (5 ounce) container plain yogurt
  • ½ yogurt container vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ yogurt containers white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ yogurt containers all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch round springform cake pan.
  3. Empty the yogurt into a mixing bowl.
  4. Measure the oil using the yogurt container and add it to the yogurt.
  5. Rinse and dry the yogurt container.
  6. Add eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract to the yogurt-oil mixture. Beat well.
  7. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing the ring.
  11. Let it cool completely on a wire rack.
