Easy Garlic Bread Recipe

- 1 loaf French bread (or Italian bread)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped, or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Cut the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise.
- Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
- Place the prepared bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy. For extra browning, you can broil for an additional 1–2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the garlic bread during the last few minutes of baking.
- Remove from the oven, slice into pieces, and serve warm.
