  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons whole milk (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • Pinch of salt (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-cup bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, whole milk, and cooled brewed coffee until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in three additions, alternating with the wet mixture. Mix on low speed until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, 4 tablespoons of milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  10. Once cooled, pour the glaze over the top of the bundt cake and let it set for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
